The on-line calculation of boiler heat efficiency can reflect the operation status of the boiler, so operators can understand the operation state the boiler, it provides the basis for operators, so it is very important to improve the operation efficiency and safety,which has great significance for the operation of the boiler. In this paper, the thermal efficiency of coal fired power plant is studied. It combines the calculation method of boiler thermal efficiency with the method of combining the oxygen content of flue gas and the carbon content in fly ash,and the model of online thermal efficiency of boiler is established, which realizes the real time calculation of boiler thermal efficiency and completes the development and testing of the boiler on-line thermal efficiency software.Firstly, through the analysis of the thermal efficiency of the boiler, the model of online thermal efficiency of boiler is established according to the characteristics of power plant operation then the influence of the key parameters such as the oxygen content of the flue gas and the carbon content of the fly ash is analyzed. The model simplifies the calculation of heat loss of exhaust gas heat loss and mechanical incomplete combustion heat loss. It is more suitable for the calculation of online thermal efficiency of boiler.Then, the model of online thermal efficiency of boiler is established by means of mechanism modeling and soft sensor modeling. Firstly, the model of the content of carbon content in flue gas and fly ash was established by using the limit learning machine technology, and the model of the on-line thermal efficiency of the boiler was put into the model. According to the establishment of a good soft measurement model, the oxygen content and carbon content of fly ash were measured, and the accuracy of the measurement of oxygen content and carbon content of fly ash was improved,which makes the calculation of online thermal efficiency of boiler more accurate. Finally, the development and testing of the online thermal efficiency calculation software of the boiler are accomplished.Finally, the development and testing of the online thermal efficiency calculation software of the boiler are accomplished.In this paper, an online thermal efficiency calculation software on boiler is designed and developed based on Visual C++ 6.0 development platform, and the performance of this software is tested by using Zhejiang Taizhou power plant #9 unit. The test results show that the software can perform real-time calculation and high calculation accuracy.
