Research On Ancient Gardens In Nanchang

Nanchang natural environment is intertwined with water,political in every dynasty is peace and harmony overall,economy is stable and prosprorous,and has a developed splendid culture.In the above context intertwined, Nanchang ancient garden has made rapid progress and has become an integral and important part of Jiangxi landscape system while domestic and foreign study on it is not enough.In order to enrich the theoretical system of Jiangxi garden,promote Nanchang local culture and the protection and inheritance of Nanchang classical gardens,We begin to study on Nanchang classical gardens development context,type of them and typical representative and gardening features by document induction,field research,comprehensive analysis and other methods.Concluded as follow:(1)Development of Nanchang ancient garden can be divided into five stages.Generation period before Han Dynasty,the initial stage of the Han to the Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties,Sui and Tang of the transition period,prosperous period of Song,at last Yuan, Ming,Qing of maturity.(2)Nanchang ancient garden can be divided into royal gardens, private gardens, temple gardens, cultural and educational landscape, government offices garden, public gardens 6 categories,Queen's gardens, the royal gardens, celebrities Residence Garden, clan garden, garden temples, Taoist gardens, Official garden, College gardens, government Office Yard, officials with gardens, worthies commemorate garden, natural landscape garden 12 subcategories.(3)Gardening features of Nanchang ancient garden, mainly reflected in the garden thoughts, garden artistic conception, gardening practices three aspects.Garden thoughts initiated Confucianism which includes advocate Confucian,righteousness and worthies.,and interwoven with Hongzhou Zen Buddhistic clean and usual, Taoist natural adherence and indifferent,simple and profound in scholars seclusion culture.Garden artistic conception was natural simplicity,tranquil,quiet,distant,pure and innocent.Characteristics of gardening practices appeared in selecting garden area,rockery construction,water treatment, planting and architecture.Selecting garden area selects more lands with rivers,lakes and forest.Rockery construction is delicate and beautiful like natural mountain.Water treatment often use natural or man-made water systems. Planting more native trees, mainly planted what have scholars integrity species.Architectures were unpretentious,usually achieved feeling and setting happily blended by a tablet.
