The construction of highway plays an important role in improving people's living standard and economic development,so that the construction of infrastructure has been strengthen seriously The formation of disease type,high frequency,strength,more wide,and severe losses of highway make the road more serious diseases.It also became one of the main factors which restrict the development of the national economy.Therefore,prevention and treatment of highway disaster have become a strategic task of building a harmonious society in our country.The stability of the slope can protect the safety of road system in good condition,preventing the highway slope creep,landslide,collapse,peeling,subsidence and other diseases.It has very important significance for highway construction quality and safety operation,so the slope stability technology research has been the engineering issues.Loess area is widely distributed in our country,and the area of loess and loess soil is about 640000 km2.There is about 5000 kilometers highway mileage in the loess region of Gansu province,where various diseases was found on the loess slope of highway.Some studies indicate that the emergence the effect of southern and northern slopes is due to the soil quality,properties,deformation condition and different vegetation coverage of slope under the influence of inradiation,temperature and humidity.Slope effect is very important for engineering of line selection,design,construction,protection and later operation and maintenance of the highway.The operating conditions of highway slope is always poor in our province.The serious problem of soil and water loss,the expressway landscape is poor.The objective reason is the low level of scientific researchand concept is old,while the subjective reason is on the slope surface protection and lack of concept of green transportation the attention they deserve.it would be a prudent in our province,docking peripheral safety and smoothness of highway network and efficient trunk highway network in the next five years,and to build a resource saving and environment friendly green traffic system.Therefore,how to improve the highway side slope surface loess regions,problems such as serious soil erosion and the monotony of road landscape in the process of our province highway construction in the future become a focus in the study of scientific and technical personnel in our province.Over the years,people in the study of the stability of loess slope is often only considering the whole slope is safe,but neglected the stability of slope surface,fact hill surface damage formation of the gully,caves,wet fall further development will cause the destruction of the entire slope.Loess region in Gansu province about five thousand km highway mileage,the area of highway loess slope is different extent,appeared a variety of diseases.Existing research shows that different slope to the slope of its exposure to the radiation,environment temperature and humidity are obviously different,which lead to different slope to the slope,soil properties,deformation condition and different vegetation coverage,slope and effect.relatively few.Freezing and thawing cycle research on the influence of the soil strength is primarily a few freeze-thaw cycle,some lower results show that the soil strength,some basic remains the same.Repeated freezing and thawing cycle focuses on the cement loess soil,lime powder,the Tibetan clay and saline soil,etc.,for the mechanics properties of loess under the long-term repeated freezing and thawing did not see results,especially on the quantitative relationship between research is the lack of related research.Research on loess under the condition of multiple freeze-thaw cycles of strength change characteristics in theory and practice and is very necessary.This project based on shiyan to tianshui national highway.Common in gansu loess area highway slope damages,in full reference to the existing slope effect of Yin and Yang,the loess slope protection technology and other related information,on the basis of long-term continuous field observation test,the system of laboratory test and theoretical analysis as the main research method,in view of the slope and effect of loess slope and considering the influence of slope under the effect of Yin and Yang of the loess slope protection technology in-depth explorationBased on research of the disease caused by slope effect of the loess highway which has been opened to traffic and the result of slope protection,the main factors of disease,and the corresponding prevention measures are put forward in this paper.The application of mechanism of the destroyed loess slope caused by this effect and the slope protection technology was carried out,combining with test of field observation and laboratory.At the same time,effect on prevention and control of plant fiber protection technology is studied after summarizing the protection technology and effect of loess slope.Major conclusions are as follows:On the one hand,the disease of cutting slope of Chan liu highway,Tian Chan secondary special roads,Ping Ding highway was investigated,it reveals causes and influencing factors of disease discovered in southern and northern slopes.On the other hand,on the basis of monitoring and analysis the soil moisture content,temperature and meteorological elements of cutting slope named Chan Liu highway(K1754+450)Shi Tian highway(K700+060),the law that the soil moisture content and temperature variation at different depth of Cutting slope,and the relationship between rainfall(or temperature)and moisture content(or temperature variation)is concluded.Besides,the effect that undisturbed loess collapsibility of physical and mechanical properties influenced by Dry-wet circulation function was studied in the laboratory,which reveal the reason of loess slope was damaged.What' more,the freeze-thaw cycle was the other important factor in regard to break of loess slope.Last,the completion of fiber slope protection project about Shi Tian highway of 725 + 500 ~ K733 + 725 and Lan Yong level road of K23 + 450 ~ 23,450 Shows the protection effect of plant fiber.In this paper,the existing slope failure mechanism and protection technology research has been analyzed.Based on the research of the disease caused by loess highway subgrade slope the effect of slope protection,the slope disease types and causes were summarized.The results of the study are to improve the level of highway construction in loess areas in our province.
