Because of its simple structure, economical application and convenient construction, the retaining wall has been widely used in the engineering of slope treatment. Due to the development and needs of economic construction, the demand for urban land is becoming more and more serious. In order to use the limited land resources efficiently, engineering construction often will fill up the slope to expand the available land. When there was retaining wall to reinforce the slope, it is necessary to strengthen the constructed retaining wall to ensure its safety. There is a common way to reinforce constructed retaining wall by adding anti-slide pile near the retaining wall, at the same time, the newly added anti-slide pile and the consructed retaining wall joint supporting structure are formed. But the interaction mechanism between the newly added anti-slide pile and the constructed retaining wall is very complicated, and the existing research results are few, so this subject needs to be further researched urgently.This paper relies on the engineering example, the effect mechanism of the newly added anti-slide pile to the constructed retaining wall is studied by numerical analysis method, it mainly completes following works:(1) The design calculation methods of anti-slide pile and retaining wall are summarized and analyzed. The existing design and calculation methods are aimed at the individual supporting measures, and the action mechanism between the newly added anti-slide pile and constructed retaining wall is very complicated, so for the situation of the newly added anti-slide pile and constructed retaining wall joint supporting, it should use numerical method to study;(2) Through the analysis of the engineering accident of an newly added single row anti-slide pile and constructed gravity retaining wall joint supporting structure, discussed the way of force transmission between pile and retaining wall and the failure mode of the system. Using FLAC3D to analyzed this reinforcement method, and sudied the mechanism of single row anti-slide pile reinforcing constructed retaining wall;(3) In view of the deficiency of single row anti-slide pile, the reinforcement method of using the plum blossom shaped arrangement of piles is put forward. The numerical analysis is carried out for this kind of strengthening method by FLAC3D.,analyzed the influence of the wall soil parameters and anti-slide pile design parameters on the stability of the retaining wall. According to the results of numerical analysis, some engineering design parameters are given.Finally, research achievements of this paper is applied to the slope reinforcement engineering design of Hunan tax college. The numerical calculation is carried out on this strengthening scheme and implemented in-situ monitoring to verify the rationality of research achievements.
