The penetration issue is one research content of terminal effects, which is very important to weapon warhead design and protection engineering design. In the paper, the research on the penetration effect of ogive-nose projectile on reinforced concrete was analyzed by theoretical model, numerical simulation and test.Firstly,Base on spherical cavity expansion theory built by Forrestal and et al,the radial stress-cavity expansion velocity function of C35 concrete was concluded by data which was obtained by the use of Matlab on equations, the same time as numerical simulation method. On the basis of nose factors of tangent ogive-nose projectile and truncated tangent ogive-nose projectile, the nose factors of intercross ogive-nose projectile and truncated intercross ogive-nose projectile was deduced. Then, the penetration resistance function of ogive-nose projectile was obtained.Secondly,on the basis of perforation model of ogive-nose projectile to concrete and reinforced concrete, the perforation model of truncated ogive-nose projectile was deduced, and the design formulas of limit thickness and limit velocity were deduced.Thirdly,in the AUTODYN software, the numerical simulation of ogive-nose projectile penetrating reinforced concrete was successfully achieved by RHT model, combined type method and SPH method.According to simulation results, the damage development of reinforced concrete was analyzed, and the anti-penetration ability of reinforced concrete was researched. At last, the test of give-nose projectile penetrating reinforced concrete was achieved. On the basis of analyzing test data, according to results of theoretical model, numerical simulation and test, the limit velocity of the ogive-nose projectile perforating 300mm reinforced concrete was determined.
