Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of our country’s economy, a great number of loads with characteristic of large capacity, strong impact and high change rate constantly access to the power grid. Operators can not adjust the voltage and reactive power because of the quick load changes. At the same time, high quality of the power supply quality is demanded by the customers’ equipment. This paper is to research the Automatic Voltage Contro-AVC application in grid and summary analysis based on the principle of Automatic Voltage control system, the establishment of the structure, control function and results in the actual application.Automatic voltage control system implements reactive voltage optimization calculation, change output of the controlled reactive power in power grid. Reactive power compensation device adjust the transformer tap via monitoring threshold of reactive power and the substation busbar voltage, under the condition of monitoring threshold of reactive power and busbar voltage qualified. It will ensure the voltage and threshold power qualified on condition of safe and stable operation of power grids, it will also reduce the line reactive power transmission, and the active loss caused by unnecessary reactive current in grid. After comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of the automatic voltage control theory between China and abroad, the hardware-software structure system of automatic voltage control system is established to the actual grid voltage operation in Dalian. The control policy, security policy and the basic principles of human-computer interface of the system is established. Finally, multi-strategy test could be implemented according to the strategy established.The range of fluctuation of Dalian power system voltage is reduced by applying the automatic voltage control system. The voltage quality is improved without manual adjustment At the same time, economic efficiency is improved meanwhile the personnel and office consumables cost would be saved.
