Sea clutter suppression technology is one of the main technologies of marine navigation radar signal processing.Sea clutter is inevitable and it is difficulty to process sea clutter that sea clutter is influenced by many factors.So how to suppress sea clutter,which is seriously impact marine navigation radar,is much important.Therefore,design and implementation of sea clutter suppression algorithm become the focus of this paper work.Based on preliminary research and design of radar video signal acquisition card,this paper has analyzed the video echo signal,and has studied the characteristics of sea clutter,which affect the target signals,and has modeled and simulated for sea clutter statistical model analysis.This paper has studied theoretical of sea clutter suppression technology for the statistical characteristics of sea clutter.The main sea clutter suppression algorithms include moving target indication(MTI),moving target detection(MTD)and the constant false alarm rate detection(CFAR),and so on.Three algorithms above were validated and compared effectively by MATLAB simulator.This paper improve some solution about the traditional CFAR detector problems existing in some improvements.Because there is nonlinear relationship between the false alarm rate and the normalized factor,and the simulation is very large,which increases the difficulty of radar signal processing ? The paper proposes the use of neural networks to determine the CFAR detector nominal factor,which has a strong the approximate any non-linear relationship between ability and convergence speed characteristics,thereby increasing the speed of real-time processing of radar signals.In addition the use of kernel density estimation method for sea clutter model nonparametric estimation,to solve the model when the sea clutter and CFAR detector mismatch performance degradation issues.Gaussian kernel on the entire real domain,there shall be estimated for all sample points resulting in dramatic increase in the amount of calculation,the paper introduced 2 fold reduction in computational kernel,and sea clutter probability density function estimation on better results.Finally IPIX radar measured data to verify the effectiveness of the improvement CFAR algorithm by analysis of test results found that improved CFAR detector has good sea clutter suppression performance can be achieved sea clutter cancellation and suppression purposes.
