Induction power box is used in areas such as hardening, welding, heating, melting. But it has heat dissipation problem, and this problem causes components overheated and affect the stability of machine. In this paper, the main research object is the induction heating power box-560. By integrating experiment and numerical calculation date of two kinds of cooling condition of the case, then results of them can be compared. Based on Solidworks Flow simulation software, the cooling process of the case are simulated, and the different vent position performance of radiator and fan installed casing are studied, in order to find the best air duct structure is advantageous to the chassis cooling.By using thermistors and infrared temperature measurement module measured at normal temperature when machine run stably. Study the situation of the temperature change of main components, and the numerical simulation of the chassis, the distribution of temperature field and velocity field in this situation. Through the experimental measurement results compared with the results of numerical simulation, observe the difference between them. In order to optimize the chassis cooling, keep original chassis interior layout structure remains the same as before, change the locations of the chassis arrangement vents and fan. In order to find the best position as different optimization scheme, get the date from numerical simulation and experiment. And the results analyzed using Matlab data curve, from the chart, the components inside the case the cooling performance is improving or not can be observed.The results showed that:want to each element in the body, the improvement of the performance of the heat dissipation can be done by adding suitable vents and fans. For those important element based on chip, open air inlet side and install side fan can reduce their temperature; Behind-side increased airway or install the fan can greatly lower the temperature of the IGBT1 and IGBT2, effectively improve the heat dissipating capacity of box body.
