As an important transmission component,the large gears play an extremely important role in power generation,s hipbuilding and large military projects.Therefore,the measurement of large gear also becomes an important research topic.When large gear is measured,it is difficult to move large gear around and control its start and stop,so the laser tracking measurement system for large gear measuring on-site will be used.Based on the laser tracking measurement system for large gear measuring,this paper makes researches on the method of determining the geometric center of large gear and calculation of tooth profile error.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:1)On the basis of analyzing the existing large gear measuring techniques and measuring devices,the measurement system that combines laser tracker with gear measuring device is introduced.2)A method of establishing standard involute gear tooth profile model is proposed,which provides data support and validation foundation for the determination of the geometric center of large gear and tooth profile deviation calculation.3)The method of determining the large gear geometry center based on the least squares principle is put forward,which makes use of the profile coordinate data of multiple large gear teeth to determine the gear geometry center coordinates through iterated calculation.This provides a standard for calculating gear tooth profile deviation.4)Several kinds of methods of calculating gear tooth profile error are introduced,and the method of calculating gear tooth profile error based on minimum containment is put forward,which can be used to calculate gear tooth profile error of large gears and conventional gears of any size.5)The method of establishing standard involute gear tooth profile data model,determining big gear geometry center and large gear tooth profile error calculation method are simulated using MATLAB.6)Coordinate measuring machine is used to measure involute gear of Grade 5,and the method of determining big gear geometry center and large gear tooth profile error calculation method are verified through experiment.The research of this paper is significant in the field of big gear precision measurement,and can also play a key role in improving gear processing precision.
