With the rapid development of national economy, people’s demand for electricity continues to grow, and also put forward higher requirements to the power supply reliability of power system and power quality. Voltage stability and reactive power balance has great significance for the safety and economic operation of power system,electric arc furnace and converter devices and other nonlinear loads connected to the electricity grid, bringing a lot of harmonic problem and which is increasingly serious, therefore, how to better balance the relationship between voltage and reactive power, to suppress the harmonic, is an important problem related to the national economy and people’s livelihood. This paper considers the harmonic and proposes a multidimensional control strategy of voltage, reactive power and harmonic, which is based on two dimensional control strategy of nine area chart for voltage and reactive power, and then carries on a simulation.Firstly, this paper takes simplified substation system as an example and introduces the principle and goal, realization mode, control mode and constraint conditions of voltage and reactive power control strategy, analyzing the multi area chart control strategy of nine areas, thirteen areas and seventeen areas, and then compares the advantages and disadvantages of each strategy.Secondly, the limits of voltage, reactive power and harmonics are set through referring to the relevant documents and power quality national standards, considering the influence of harmonic, combined with the objective function, constraint conditions and weight coefficient of multiple objectives, and propose a multidimensional control strategy of voltage, reactive power and harmonic based on two dimensional control strategy of nine area chart.Then the simulation model of the multidimensional control strategy is built, and respectively introduce capacitor group, FC(passive filter), TCR(thyristor controlled reactor) and APF(active power filter) of the model, introducing their principle and characteristics, and design the simulation flow chart of multidimensional control strategy.Finally two concrete examples are built in matlab, including FC_TCR applied to35/10 kV and Capacitor Banks and APF applied to 10/0.38 kV, which verify the validity of the model and control strategy by examples.
