Although 70% of the earth's surface is covered by water, inadequate fresh water resource is becoming a problem across the whole world. Most of China's territory are inland, especially in area with rich coal reserves, the problem of inadequate fresh water resource is more serious. Direct air-cooling technology has its great advantage in water saving and water consumption of thermal-power plants. With the rapid development of China's economy, there is an increasing demand for electricity supply. The adoption of air-cooling technology in areas with rich coal resource yet inadequate water supply is an important approach to solve the problem of sustainable development of China's electric power. Meanwhile, it has great practical and far-reaching significance.Based on this, this paper takes the 600 MW direct air cooling unit in Shanxi Datang International Yuncheng power company as a model, in order to supply coal consumption and supply of water of the unit consumption as the main line, considering including laws and regulations, institutional, technical safety, economic operation of boundary conditions, the power supply coal consumption coal quantity caused by ignoring the influence on economy of boiler, under the consideration of each variable case, given the overall solution. The detailed steps of cold starting of the unit block diagram design, the course of starting stick out a mile, take two solutions for back pressure high, one is in the air cooling system cooling unit is added in the desalted water spraying device, spraying device for opening in the case of high back pressure, reducing cold end temperature,thereby reducing the pressure; two is the installation of water cooled condenser, in extreme high load, high back pressure, into the condenser, the shunt part of steam, reduce the heat load of the air cooling island method to reduce back pressure. For the problem of high rate electricity plant, itself is caused because of its special system, the final reaction in the power supply coal consumption, and the power supply coal consumption will merge to solve. As for the pressure change too fast, met the outside wind speed and wind direction in the air cooling unit mutation, air cooling island heat dissipation dramatically,by real-time monitoring, protective measures to take through the back pressure variation rate.
