In port and offshore engineering,piles are widely used,the spacing between piles is directly related to the incident wave force on piles and the drag force on platform or upper structure.When the spacing between piles is small,hydrodynamic of piles will become strong because of interaction of piles.The wave force on piles will larger be than wave force on isolate pile,which is an important factor leading to damage of the structure.Therefore,it is necessary to study the influence of the spacing between and pile shapes on the wave force on piles.Recently,many researchers mainly learn the force on files by model tests,which is time-consuming and expensive,what's more,it can not reveal the fundamental mechanism of wave force on piles.With the development of computer technology and computational fluid,it is an economical and reliable method to study the effect of wave force on piles by numerical simulation.Firstly,the numerical model is developed based on Flow3 d software.Take Navier-Stokes equation and k-? turbulence model as governing equation,then the GMRES method is used to solve theequation after it is discretized by difference method.Last,The accuracy of the numerical model is verified by compared numerical results with experimental model and theoretical formula.Secondly,the influence of the spacing between two circular piles and square piles on the wave force on the upper and lower pile in different parameters of wave is studied,based on the three-dimensional numerical model.(for square piles,it contains two situation of incident wave angle,0 ° and 45 °).Then the ratio of wave force duration curve,pile group coefficients,the ratio of wave force parallel to the wave direction and perpendicular to the wave direction,as well as the the curve of the total resultant force coefficients in different spacing between piles are presented.The mechanism of force the pile is analyzed by the free surface and the flow field around the pile column.Finally the wave force on piles,pile group coefficients,the ratio of wave force parallel to the wave direction and perpendicular to the wave direction and the the curve of the total resultant force coefficients of circular piles are compared with square piles.and last analysis the influence of pile shapes on oncoming wave force.
