Steel industry is a major part of energy consumption where great energy saving potential can be developed.Waste heat recovery and recycling of sinter is one of the primary methods to reduce the energy consumption in sintering process.It has been reported that waste gas is produced when there is a heat exchange between sinter and air.Waste heat can be recycled where waste gas is introduced in the boiler.However,radiant heat recycling of sinter is not included in the current recycling method and there exist a heat loss in the process of gas transportation.To resolve the problem,radiant energy of sinter is recycled by the waste heat boiler which is directly set on the ring cold machine.It is indicated that radiant heat of waste heat boilers and sinter should be determined in the heat balance calculation of waste heat boilers.Hence,there is a necessity to study the calculation of radiant heat.Besides,a set of software which applied in heat balance calculation of sintering waste heat boiler should be created in engineering projects.Main conclusions were drown as follows:(1)Radiation heat transfer process of sinter heat between the surface and analyzed,sinter draw radiant heat recovery heat exchanger will increase the distance between the heat exchanger and sinter while decreasing trend,in order to make full use of radiant heat sinter,sinter should minimize the distance between the heat exchanger.(2)Make the porous media model alternative finned tube heat exchanger fin portions for a reasonable simplification,used Fluent software for the temperature field and the velocity field was simulated HRSG,Obtained temperature field and velocity field distribution inside the furnace.(3)Used Fluent software simulation,Draw the heat exchanger wall average temperature curve with the flue gas temperature and the temperature of the sinter,And thus calculate the radiation heat transfer of the HRSG.(4)In the same conditions,respectively to HRSG and external HRSG steam parameters for high-volume segment were calculated,14.28% higher than the results of the former high-volume segment of the latter parameter steam.(5)Combined heat transfer knowledge,proposed improvement program for HRSG,and through the heat balance calculation and heat transfer analysis,explains the advantages of the improvement program.(6)On the basis of these studies,the use of C # programming software,developed a sinter HRSG heat balance calculation software.
