Research On The Landscape Design Of Urban Riparian Buffer Strips

Water is an essential resource to human daily production and life.However,water pollution is becoming more and more serious around the world at present,it has become the major environmental problem,which restricts social development and threatens the human physical and mental health.The main cause of water pollution is the destruction from human production and life,the other is the lack of buffer protection measures on the shore of water.Many studies and practice have proved that the riparian buffer strips plays an important role in preventing and controlling water pollution and eutrophication,protecting the riverbank,preventing soil erosion.As the transition region of water and land,the riparian buffer strips not only has a unique ecological function,but also can beautify the city environment and provide a place for outdoor recreation,entertainment and sports for urban residents.At present,many areas has problems including the shortage of water resources,the serious water pollution and the reduction of the green land and so on.So the riparian buffer strips has the function of natural protection,recreation and social protection,so it has a great application prospect in our country.However,due to the domestic research on the riparian buffer strips started late,many studies started from a certain field,such as the control of the water source pollution,the ecological benefit of the riparian buffer strips and so on.These studies often have some one-sided,ignoring the other functions of riparian buffer strips,so that the function of riparian buffer strips can not be fully played.Landscape design,as a developing and comprehensive discipline,is an integration of architecture,art,urban planning,geography,biology and landscape ecology and other disciplines.Its advantage is that it can solve the problem from a wider range than other subjects,and make a more comprehensive study on the riparian buffer strips.This paper studied from the perspective of landscape design,firstly,it analyzed and sum up the development process and the main idea of urban riparian buffer strips,expound the relative concepts,to lay a theoretical foundation for the further explanation of the article.Secondly,it studied the composition,structure,function and characteristic of urban riparian buffer strips,expound the problems and causes in the construction process on the basis of investigation,then provide a solid theoretical foundation and practical experience for the exploration of the principles and methods of urban riparian buffer strips landscape designing.Then through analysis and research,it concluded the basic principles of urban riparian buffer strips landscape designing,in order to guide the riparian buffer stripsthrough the five aspects of the position,width,plant configuration and ecological revetment and road system,to achieve the design gestalt.At last,taking the landscape design of Shun’an River buffer strips in Anqing as an example,to further demonstrate the various functions of riparian buffer strips,hoping it can provide certain reference for wide range of construction and application of river buffer strips in the future.
