With the rapid development of China's socio-economy and science and technology, tall and intensive buildings continue to emerge, leading to channels in the building become longer, the floor structure becomes more complex, unexpected events frequency in public places gradually increased, people's awareness of fire prevention continues to enhance, therefore it is increasingly important to ensure the normal work of the fire protection system. In this paper, a fire-fighting equipment power monitoring system solution for fire-fighting equipment power is proposed, which is able to detect anomalies in the power supply fire fighting equipment, to ensure the normal work, reduce the losses caused by the fire.(1) The national standard GB 28184-2011 "fire-fighting equipment power monitoring system," and the market demand gives the specific requirements and future direction to the designed fire-fighting equipment power monitoring system, on this basis we researched the Modbus communication protocol, and developed communication protocol according to specific requirements for the system.(2) According to the system functional requirements and specific targets, the overall design of fire-fighting equipment power monitoring system is given, the hardware system in which the communication bus is RS-485 is sesigned. The power system is divided into fire-fighting equipment to monitor the host and its attached multifunction monitor from the machine, the composition of the various parts and the concrete realization of the circuit described in detail.(3) Based on the design of fire-fighting equipment power monitoring hardware systems and communication protocols, software for various parts of fire fighting equipment power monitoring system is designed, including the preparation, the preparation of the host sub-plate program of fire-fighting equipment Power Monitoring host Windows programs and more slave function monitoring software development. This paper describes the process for each part of the program and gives the program flow chart.(4) According to the hardware and software design of the system and the developed communication protocol, a prototype is successfully developed, and the basic power monitoring system functional testing and acquisition accuracy testsing is completed by the use of fire-fighting equipment prototype.After testing and debugging, the intended functions of the fire-fighting equipment power monitoring system is achieved, the initial design goals is completed, in line with national standards.
