Strategy Analysis Of Distinctive Small Towns With Enriched Landscape Resources

Report of the Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC put the promoting of the New-type Urbanization as the primary task of the transformation of development mode in China. New-type Urbanization is to balance urban and rural development with the natural environment. New-type Urbanization is to common development of urban and rural areas. Also, it's unified of economic benefits, environmental benefits and social benefits. In order to promote the characteristics of urban construction and achieve sustainable development of urban and rural society, we should take local conditions urbanization development model since enormous different in resources environment, economic development, population distribution in our country.Landscape resource-rich region is the treasure trove and security barrier of our country. While also often areas where the diversity and authenticity of tradition cultural are well-preserved. The development of the Distinctive Small Towns with Enriched Landscape Resources has its own specialty. Strong environmental pressure, little space for development, poor facilities and weak economic foundation are the main cause of the slow development of these small towns. Innovating the development mode, breaking through the bottleneck of the development and defining a clear development path of the Distinctive Small Towns with Enriched Landscape Resources, has great significance on improving of the overall development level, narrowing the development gap between regions and protecting the regional ecological security and regional cultural diversity.Firstly, the research exploring reasonable model and path between regional landscape conservation and coordinated urban and rural development concept of regional urbanization based on the theoretical and practical study on "urbanization" and "regional landscape protection and utilization". Secondly, proposing general idea of promoting New-type Urbanization which is based on scientific selection of regional urbanization path, planning of distinctive towns and style building as an opportunity. All of this is based on the main contradiction analysis of rural development with enriched landscape resources and practical experience of domestic and international in similar areas.The study takes Nanping as an empirical case. Basing on the basic analyzing of features of the resources, spatial characteristics and advantages and disadvantages of development. The study suggests that the urbanization path of the Distinctive Small Towns with Enriched Landscape Resources in north Fujian should be adapted to local conditions, process the relationship between centralized and decentralized dialectically, establish the characteristics space system of urban, create featured village cluster network, act a leading role model of typical small towns. Finally, the study proposes specific strategies and methods to create small town characteristic Nanping in three spatial scales that are area, town and building blocks based on the actual needs of distinctive Nanping Town Planning and Construction.
