With the traditional way of spatial layout and bearing, reinforced concrete frame structure has been widely used in the bearing system of the building structure. the frame column, as its main bearing component, may be liable to the accidental impact in service period. The vehicle impact is a common impact load, and researching the performance of reinforced concrete structure under vehicle impact is of great significance. Based on this, this paper firstly uses explicit dynamic analysis software LS-DYNA to establish the finite element model of car and reinforced concrete column, and verify the validity of the model. The primary works investigated are as follows:(1) Parametric studies are adopted to investigate the effects of the impact velocity, impact angle, moment of section inertia, concrete strength and stirrup ratio on the dynamic response of reinforced concrete column and the impact force under vehicle impact;(2) This paper studied the failure mode of the reinforced concrete column under different vehicle impact, analyzed the main causes of reinforced concrete column's poor crashworthiness and proposed two measures to improve the performance of reinforced concrete column bruise, finally, verified the effectiveness of the measures;(3)This paper established the whole finite element model of reinforced concrete frame structure by adopting the method of multi-scale mode, then analyzed the collapse response of frame structure under the vehicle impact on underlying column. The results show that the displacement response of the column will increase with the increase of impact angle; Improving the columns' section moment of inertia and the compressive strength of concrete can significantly reduce the displacement response of the columns, but the effect is not obvious by changing the stirrup ratio; The impact force is influenced by velocity, angle of impact, tonnage and column section moment of inertia, and column section moment of inertia influences significantly. The collapse force values which from our specification are slightly insufficient. Failure mode of reinforced concrete columns is different under different types of vehicle impact, the spalling of concrete is the main reasons for the reinforced concrete columns' crashworthiness. the collapse response of frame structure under the vehicle impact on underlying column is localized.
