Assembly plays an important role in the product manufacture process.With the development of enterprise informationization and product design knowledgeablization,computer aided assembly process planning has been more and more popular in manufacturing industry.But aiming at general aviation products,existing assembly information modeling method could hardly summarize all the useful information.The existing assembly information extraction algorithms are difficult to guarantee the efficiency and quality of extraction.To solve the above problems,firstly,by analyzing the characteristics of general aviation products,an assembly information model for general aviation product based on polychromatic sets theory is built,which summarizes the assembly information as level information,relationship information and attribution information.Secondly,through the research of the extraction algorithm of assembly information,the existing form,extraction principle and extraction methods of level information,relationship information and attribution information in CATIA V5 environment is expressed separately,and the extraction process of every kind of information is given.The extraction algorithm of assembly interference matrix is mainly studied.The interference detection theory and the form and meaning of interference matrix are expressed.By improving traditional interference judgment algorithm,interference matrix extraction algorithm is proposed based on bounding box pre-inspection.Also,CATIA/CAA interface is called to conduct interference judgment.The above works greatly improve the efficiency of the formation of the interference matrix.Finally,an assembly information extraction system for general aviation product assembly process planning is developed using CAA.A certain part in a certain type of aircraft engine nacelle is taken as an example to verify the prototype system.The assembly information model and assembly information extraction algorithm aiming at general aviation products are built,which lay good foundations for the follow-up works such as assembly sequence planning and assembly process simulation.On the basis of this paper,further research on assembly knowledge acquisition could be conducted.
