With the social and economic development, environmental and energy problems have become increasingly serious, environmental protection and energy saving have become the important components of social and economic sustainable development. In our country, the proportion of building energy consumption accounting for about 1/3 of the total social energy consumption has been high(Hu Yanjun, 2012; Liu Jia, 2016). And the energy consumption of building enclosure is about half of the buildings'(Wang Haijun, 2012), according to related data statistics(Gu Tianshu, 2006), the heat transfer loss of wall structure accounts for 60%-70% of the building envelope's. Therefore, the thermal insulation of building wall is significant for energy saving. Among the measures of the wall insulation, applying insulation mortar is the common one.In this paper, it makes the wheat straw- MOC composite insulation mortar as the study object, the MOC as building materials, the glazed hollow bead as lightweight aggregate, the coal ash as admixture and adding wheat straw, making appropriate technical route, by theoretical analysis and physical test, preparing the new composite insulation mortar with the good thermal insulation, physical and mechanical properties, and analyzing its economic cost.Firstly, systematically understand the MOC by consulting literatures. By consulting literature, understanding the physical properties and preparation methods of the MOC, and summarizing the characteristics of MOC by comparing with the ordinary cement; by preparing the MOC, to grasp the preparation methods of the MOC and make preparations for the latter tests.Secondly, through the tests the thesis explored the dosage range of the composite insulation mortar's components to make preparations for the latter orthogonal test. Firstly did the single-added coal ash test, by analyzing the test results determined the dosage range of the coal ash in the orthogonal test; according to the single-added coal ash test, adding a certain amount of coal ash in the MOC, then did the single-added straw test and single-added glazed hollow bead test, and by analyzing the test results determined the dosage range of the straw and glazed hollow bead in the orthogonal test; selecting the right dosages of coal ash, glazed hollow bead and straw added to the MOC, then respectively adding different dosages of water reducer, to determine the dosage range of water reducer in orthogonal experiment by measuring the amount of water requirement when the mixture reaches the standard consistency.Thirdly, the thesis determined the basic mix ratio of insulation mortar by the orthogonal test and optimized it. This part compared and analyzed the impact degree of the glazed hollow bead, wheat straw, coal ash and water reducer on composite insulation mortar's dry density, compressive strength, thermal conductivity coefficient and softening coefficient. Combining the test results analysis and code requirements got the basic mix ratio; analyzing the orthogonal test results and referring to the relevant codes optimized the basic mix ratio of composite insulation mortar, and measured the performance of the optimized composite insulation mortar.Finally, the thesis analyzed the sources of raw material and costs of wheat straw-MOC composite insulation mortar. Aim to the special cement, MOC, analyzing its sources of raw material; this part analyzed its cost and compared it with the ordinary insulation mortar.This research subject is supported by the Shandong Agricultural Major Application and Technology Innovation Project(SDNYCX1531963). Making use of the MOC instead of the ordinary cement to prepare the insulation mortar, it eliminates the processing step on dealing with the wheat straw and reduces the cost; Making use of the wheat straw and MOC to prepare the insulation mortar, it broaden the new research thought for applying the wheat straw and the application in the building field, and it provides system supporter for the further research in building materials.
