With the internal engine, especially the development and use of the cars, more and more fossil fuel is consumed, then however the shortage of fossil energy and enviromental pollution problems become more and more serious. In response to the increasingly serious energy shortage and environmental problems, more and more countries devote to development the field of efficient, clean and safe new energy vechiles. However, duiring the development of elecotric vehicles, there are many shorcomings, such as insufficient of battery power, power supply equipment and car chargers is not perfect, market development mechanism is not compelet and so on. This paper is aim at the aspects of the electric vehicle chargers, with the condition of existing technology, is devote to improve charging efficiency of the electric vehicles, to ensure the safety of the battery charger and to extend the service life of battery.The electric vehicle charger is divided into two types, that is off-board charger and on-board charger. The former has a higher construction cost and different market standards. It can not satisfied the user's requirement of charger. The later has a low cost of designing, convenient to carry and can charge for the electric vehicle at any time. Therefore, this article is aim at designing on-board electric vehicle charger. In this article, the charger is designed with using totally closed shell, because of it's poor working environment. Using cool wind natrual convection heat dissipation. Setting up the technical index of the charger according to the charger industrial standard. And finially design out a totally closed on-board electric vehicle charger which is highly charging efficiency, light quality, small in size, high reliable and strong anti-seismic property.In this paper, the design of totally closed on-board electric vehicle charger is made up of four parts. The charger main power circuit and control circuit, The control module of MCU, Heat dissipation design of the charger, The program design and debugging. In each chapter, it detailed describles the design process and program debugging process of the charger.At the end of the paper, through the experiment to test the charger. And the experiment results show that the design of totolly closed on-board vehicle charger is completely satisfy the design index and requirement.
