As the steel structure is widely used in building structure, the scholars have done a large number of steel structure of the whole and partial analysis at home and abroad, most of steel structure analysis is mainly aimed at the nodes of beam-column joints connection analysis, there is less analysis about the connection of the column and column or column foot connected nodes. But column foot as an important part that it can Connect the whole upper structure to foundation and let the upper structure force transmitted to lower base,so it is necessary to analyze its research. In conventional design, column feet connecting nodes will be designed as assumed to be not need to pass a moment of articulated column feet or rigid connection column feet need to pass a moment,these assumes that it is not in conformity with the practical engineering. In actual engineering, column feet in the long run by top load action will produce a certain amount of deformation or displacement of parts, due to this nature of column foot, connect the pedestal assumption for the semi-rigid connection is more close to actual engineering.So this article mainly studies a kind of semi-rigid connection in engineering application of column foot in comparison with the performance of the various aspects of rigid connection of column foot has more advantages. First of all, through the theoretical formula to calculate the gantry frame column foot connection should be judged that semi-rigid connection is not rigid connection. Next mainly use the method of structural analysis software in the column foot into spring element to simulate the semi-rigid connections, after get the constitutive relation of semi-rigid column foot, apply it to the semi-rigid column foot steel framework and loads of steel framework. It will find that under the same conditions of rigid column foot comparative analysis on the framework of the steel frame with semi-rigid column feet can improve the mechanical properties of steel framework to a certain degree. Next studies on some parameters which can have an affect on column foot semi-rigid connection. First adjust the size parameters to get the internal force values of column foot, then use the column script constitutive relation into a steel frame.Steel frame under repeated loading to get the analysis of the hysteresis curve and according to the hysteresis curve which is deduced to calculate the equivalent viscous coefficient EQ and energy dissipation coefficient E, through these two parameters to judge the impacts of these factors on seismic performance of steel framework.
