The rapid development of auto industry puts forward higer requirements for tire production, it not only requires higer efficiency, but also to ensure the high quality of the tire. The lap joint of tire film is a key part in the process of tire manufacturing. It is vital to ensure the quality of finished tire. The development of the laser three-dimensional measurement provide the possibility of detection of tire film lap joint for the real-time and high efficiency. Based on the structured light three-dimensional measurement technology, Tire film lap joint detection system based on line-structured light measurement system is proposed. Realized lap joint of tire film detection function, and Meet the requirements of the system design. The content of this paper is as follows:1. The overall scheme and procedures of the lap joint of tire film detection based on line structured light system is design to satisfies the requirement of system design, and finished the hardware design, system software design and function realization based on the structured light three-dimensional measurement part. Among them, the hardware design mainly includes the CCD camera parameters, the line laser light source and the determination of system structure parameters; The functions of the software part mainly includes: camera capture control, image processing, coordinate transformation, the point cloud processing, three-dimensional reconstruction and display, etc.2. The centerline extraction of structured light stripe based on the principal component analysis is proposed. The experiments results show that the algorithm has higher speed and precision characteristics. Compared with Steger algorithm, the mean square error(MSE) is less than 0.003 pixel, and it is nearly three times as faster as Steger algorithm. This method can realize the rapid and high precision extraction of structured light stripe, and laid a foundation of real-time application for structure light vision detecting.3. Built the system which is based on line structured light three-dimensional measuremen, and completed the system parameter calibration, centerline extraction experiment and the point cloud processing and reconstruction algorithm validation experiments. Laser plane fitting calibration method is proposed based on the extrinsic parameters of camera, and through the calibration of laser plane twice before and after platform moving to validate the precision of the parameter calibration, the error with the actual error of the moving distance is only 0.014 mm; The point cloud simplification and reconstruction method was used in this aticle, respectively, for standard point cloud data and point cloud data from the actual experiments, obtain good experiment results.
