In the processing of corrosion inhibitor,the problems of low-efficient and serve-pollution of Mercury have harmed the development of Manganese batteries industry.In this paper,series of alkyl-functionalized task-specific Gemini surfactants were synthesized and applied in Manganese batteries.These new corrosion inhibitors showed strong adsorption,lower critical micelle concentration and high performance of complex.The main conclusions are as follows:1.Five kinds of Gemini imidizolum surfactants([C14-4-C14im]Br2,[C12-4-C12im]Br2,[C10-4-C10im]Br2,[C14-2-C14im]Br2,[C14-6-C14im]Br2)were synthesized under optimized conditions and characterized by FT-IR and 1H-NMR.2.The corrosion inhibition of Gemini imidazolum surfactants for zinc was investigated with weight loss and electrochemical methods.The weight loss results showed that: The inhibition efficiency increased with the increasing of the concentration of inhibitor.And there was no significant change after the critical micelle concentration.The inhibition efficiency decreased in the range of 25-55 ?.The electrochemical results showed that: Gemini imidazolum surfactants had inhibit-effect on both the anodic and the cathodic electrochemical.Adding corrosion inhibitors would significantly reduce the corrosion current density.Gemini imidazolum surfactants were mixed-type inhibitor.3.The influence of molecular structure on corrosion inhibition efficiency was discussed.The effect of the length of hydrophobic alkyl chain on the inhibition efficiency obeyed the order:[C14-4-C14im] Br2> [C12-4-C12im] Br2> [C10-4-C10im] Br2;The effect of the length of hydrophilic group on the inhibition efficiency obeyed the order:[C14-2-C14im]Br2> [C14-4-C14im] Br2> [C14-6-C14im] Br2.4.The adsorption mechanism was discussed according to the adsorption thermodynamics and adsorption kinetics.The adsorption of Gemini imidazolum surfactants on zinc surface belonged to physical and chemical adsorption.The Gemini imidazolum surfactants could block on the active sites,and reduced the corrosion of Zn.The values of free energy of adsorption indicated that the adsorption was a spontameous process,and it obeyed to the Langmuir isotherm model.5.Co-solvent of conventional surfactants would make jointly effect with Gemini imidazolum surfactants on the absorption of Zn.The complex corrosion inhibition efficiency was up to 98.66%.The mercury-free coated paper performance met the QB / T2303-2008 requirements,and the zinc-manganese batteries performance met the requirements of GB8897-2013-T.
