The world's energy tension is indisputable. Clean energy —natural gas will be the direction of the future energy requirements. LNG tank acts as the beginning of lands and the end of oceans which plays an important role in the LNG industrial chain. Currently, the main material of LNG storage tanks for outer wall is concrete and inner wall is 9% nickel steel, then come the questions: ?9% nickel steel is expensive, and most of it is imported. Our country just started its production capacity in the last two years. ?There are complex construction problems with 9% nickel steel. ?The design technology of LNG storage tank is mainly controlled by some foreign companies going toward monopolization in some way.More advanced all-concrete LNG storage tank hasn't been studied in our country, and only a bit in foreign countries. The researches of AC-LNG tank not only make for the diversity of LNG tank, but also benefit to relative researches about similar cryogenic storage tank (liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen). In order to carry out research work of AC-LNG storage tank and enrich the design and construction market of LNG storage tank in our country, following contributions are made:1. Domestic and foreign research papers are collected which are about the AC-LNG storage tank, and the application of concrete in cryogenic environment. At the same time, the feasibility of AC-LNG storage tank is studied;2. The size of AC-LNG tank is estimated according to the size of regular full containment tanks (160000m3) and related literature;3. Concrete temperature field is analyzed of AC-LNG tank to determine the state of temperature distribution in the inner wall, and then determine the constitutive relation of concrete;4. Materials and relative loads of AC-LNG tank are determined;5. Detailed mechanical behavior of AC-LNG tank is analyzed under self-weight, prestressed load, hydraulic pressure. The internal forces of inner and outer containers are got. The trend of internal force is analyzed and the differences of outer containment between the two types of LNG storage tank are compared;6. Time history analysis of AC-LNG tank under four types of ground could be carried mainly to obtain the structure response of AC-LNG tank under different site conditions.
