| Water landscape since ancient times has been an important part of city landscape, gradually increased with the development of the living standards of people, but also accompanied by now, the pollution of water environment, the shortage of water resource problem in the city is becoming more and more serious, and construction of city water landscape people requires not only has ornamental and artistic, but also meet the requirements ecological and practical. From the point of view of water landscape aesthetic point of view, city water landscape in giving the viewer with pleasure at the same time, also has ecological and humanistic characteristics. Therefore, now combined with landscape environment value,aesthetic value and social value as one of the popular, create with this kind of three-in-one view to guide city water landscape has become a development trend of the design. While the water landscape as an important part of city landscape, how to implement the principle of three-in-one in city water landscape design, for now the water landscape design development in China, is still a new subject.In this paper, with the aesthetic point of view of contemporary urban water landscape of contemporary aesthetic characteristics analysis, both at home and abroad landscape aesthetic elements and related development trend, discussed further on contemporary urban water landscape design ideas and design patterns. Diversity from the aspects of ecology, culture as well as the function of the proposed combination of aesthetic concept of trinity of environmental value, aesthetic value and social value, the aesthetic concept effectively used to create the urban landscape water to attempt to establish a new theory frame.
