How to suppress the voltage collapse in power system plays an important role in the whole power grid. While the under voltage load shedding is to maintain an effective means for voltage stability, reasonable and effective selection of cutting load, can make the whole network back to the stable state in a short time, stable operation and protect the whole power grid.This paper from the power system voltage stability characteristics, introduces the features corresponding principle, and combined with the analysis of commonly used indicators, comparison of different indicators of the scope and the advantages and disadvantages of the trial. On this basis, further discussion on the design of low voltage load reduction, starting from the mechanism, the mathematical method of low-voltage load principle are described, together with the general criterion, are considered according to different fault types, configuration design. Finally an example analysis is carried out by Tianjin power grid, voltage stability analysis of the indicators, when the simulation examples, proves that the method can ensure the system voltage fast recovery and higher stability margin, and to verify the rationality and effectiveness of the method.Based on the foreign research, analysis of foreign experiences, and the status of the domestic carries on the preliminary discussion, pointed out that the under-voltage load shedding and the importance of the present stage of our country. Whether it is offline or setting, the existence of the gap are excellent and advanced technology, so the need to further enhance. On this basis, put forward the research content of this paper and the corresponding research methods; Through principle analysis, combined with the corresponding mathematical theories, on the voltage stability of a more comprehensive introduction to the under-voltage load shedding, also lay the foundation for further analysis on load; Based on voltage stability principle, the under-voltage load shedding are discussed comprehensively, studies the corresponding decision basis and selected method, proposed the corresponding configuration thought, and give the design simple. Finally the actual grid Tianjin area analysis, given the common index system, combined with the actual examples of simulation calculation of the narrative method.
