Sandstone-mudstone particle mixture is a common filling soil mixed by sandstone and mudstone particle in certain proportion, which has the characteristics such as easy to be obtained in local materials and compacted. The compacted sandstone-mudstone particle mixture has the advantages of high strength and small deformation.The mixed soil is often used in transportation, construction, water conservancy, water transportation engineering construction. The compression deformation behavior of the mixture is affected by many factors. But the research about compression deformation behaviors of the mixture is not much at present. In this paper, based on the experiment, the GDS consolidation test system and WG oedometer are used to study the compression deformation behavior of the mixture under saturated and unsaturated conditions with different facters. And K0 consolidation apparatus is used to conduct the consolidation test of K0 of the mixture with with different facters. The mainly research content and results are as follows:?1? GDS advanced consolidation apparatus and WG odometer are used for the compression test of the sandstone-mudstones mixture by rapid consolidation method. And the compression deformation characteristics of the sandstone-mudstones mixture are studied under saturated and unsaturated conditions. Also the compression deformation characteristics of the sandstone-mudstones mixture are analyzed with the dry density, water content, particle size distribution and particle content and so on. And the compression test results obtained by two different testing instruments are compared and analyzed.?2? The compression test on sandstone-mudstones mixture is conducted by GDS consolidation apparatus under the continuous loading consolidation test method. The impact of different loading ways on sandstone-mudstones mixture compression feature are studied by compared with the compression test results under different experiment methods.?3? Based on the GDS compression test data, the influence of water on the compressive deformation characteristics of the mixture are studied under various influence factors. The results indicate that degree of compression of the mixture which under saturated condition is basically greater than its value under unsaturated condition.?4? The Ko consolidation test of sandstone-mudstones mixture is conducted by K0 consolidation apparatus. The disciplinarian of axial stress, lateral stress, deformation, pore water pressure and coefficient of the lateral pressure of the mixture is analyzed as the experiment process.
