A Study On The Relationship Between Cognitive Bias And Unsafe Behavior Of Construction Workers

Construction has open and high-altitude working environment,special working conditions and the flow of large construction personnel objective characteristics which make the construction is a high-risk industry and construction safety accidents have a common occurrences.With the government and construction enterprises increasing hardware and software security investment,construction accidents and deaths has a downward trend,but the downward trend is slow,so China's construction safety situation is still grim.A large number of examples of the construction and theoretical studies show that more than 80% of the construction safety accidents are caused by unsafe behavior of construction workers.In order to control and reduce the unsafe behavior,the academic circles have conducted a lot of research on it.Some scholars have found behavior risk perceptions and risk propensity is one of the most important factors of unsafe behavior,the research mainly focuses on the study of coal mining and traffic safety field,in the construction safety field few involved.In addition,modern cognitive psychology and behavioral decision theory shows that human behavior in risk decision-making process inevitably affected by cognitive biases,but related research on cognitive biases mainly concentrated in investment,financial risk decision-making field.For a more comprehensive understanding of the influence mechanism of risk decision-making behavior,from the perspective of behavioral risk decision of combined with risk perception and risk propensity of unsafe behavior effect and the deviation of cognition and Research on unsafe behavior is very necessary.This paper is based on the "limited rational person" hypothesis and the unsafe behavior is regarded as the result of the risk decision of construction workers.On the results of previous studies based on the proposed research hypothesis of the relationship between the cognitive bias and risk perception,risk propensity and unsafe behavior and unsafe behavior risk decision-making theory model,in Beijing,Tianjin has carried on the questionnaire survey,a total of 260 valid questionnaires were collected.The empirical research methods,using SPSS and Amos to study variables of the initial scale and the formal scale reliability and validity analysis,and using correlation analysis and multiple forms of regression analysis methods t o test the research hypotheses.The results of the study show that:(1)cognitive bias and dimensions of unsafe behaviors exist significant direct positive effect,the effect degree of the various dimensions of different;(2)cognitive deviation of perceived risk exists significant negative effect,in addition to attribution error and other dimensions of perceived risk exists significant negative effect;(3)risk perception and safety behavior exist significant negative effect;(4)risk perception in the cognitive deviation of unsafe behavior process in plays the part of the intermediary role;(5)risk propensity in the cognitive deviation of unsafe behavior process plays a regulatory role in the.This paper empirically studied the cognitive deviation of unsafe behavior,unsafe behavior risk decision model is constructed,system reveals the unsafe behavior risk decision-making mechanism,to angle for the decision-making behavior to reduce unsafe behavior provides a theoretical support,for low construction safety accidents and improve safety performance level of the construction industry to achieve effective construction site safety management provides new ideas and new methods.
