The soft soil settlement on high-speed railway roadbed has become a hot issue in the geotechnical workers with the rapid development of high-speed railway industry in our country. The five settlement observation cross sections in Harbin to Dalian high-speed railway station are taken as the research object. The subgrade filling construction process and the long-term settlement law after construction was studied by means of field monitoring, laboratory test, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation methods. The subgrade settlement during the filling construction stage and long term settlement after the filling construction of subgrade are obationed through the field settlement observation. The physical properties of soft soil are obtained through the indoor tests. The subgrade settlement law of soft soil during the filling construction stage and 1080 days after the filling construction of subgrade is researched by using the finite element analysis software MID AS/GTS. And the numerical simulation results are compared with the field monitoring results. The compare results verify the reliability of the numerical simulation results. The above research results will provide the basis for the construction of coastal soft soil area of high speed railway in China. And the research results also have a theoretical value and important engineering significance.
