Flying car is a kind of innovation of transportation, it appears designed to ease traffic pressure on the ground and accelerate the development of general aviation. The flying car is developed especially to meet the development trend of general aviation in the future and the practical requirement of social environment. The electrical system of modern aircraft plays a more and more important role in the flight mission. So the power supply and the electrical system design of the flying car is designed and studied specially in this paper. In this paper, the architecture of power supply and distribution system is introduced in detail, paving the way for the design. Next, the design requirements of general and the branch system are demonstrated. Then an electrical design scheme is presented for the safety and reliability of the aircraft's flight. This scheme includes avionics system, mode conversion system, lighting system, fuel system and other specific design. The health status of the mode conversion system plays an important role in the flight safety of the aircraft.Power system is the power source of the electric system in the flying car. Its design is based on the load. Therefore, first of all, the load should be analyzed. It includes academic analyze and count. According to requirements and the size of the load two generators are select. Conjunctive manner of generators is parallel connection. Batteries are select according as longevity and charge and so on. Generators and batteries are parallel connection. Capacity of batteries is 50 Ah, according to the demand of most loads.Each subsystem is the executive structure of the electrical system. The electrical system of the main are designed, including fuel and generator systems, control systems, avionics systems. Higher dependable scheme is select according to the advantage and the disadvantage of the different link style in the fuel systems. The electrical system of the generator includes startup motor and the checkpoint Control system is the key to accomplish mode switch. It includes airfoil pucker and manipulation module. Avionics system includes airmanship and lighting. Firstly, the design principles of each system are described. The electrical wiring diagram is design according to the logic of the power operation. At last, the selection of main electrical equipment for each system is completed.
