In sintering process, material moisture measurement has a very important significance for the whole process, and it is the sinter mixture moisture measurement in sintering plant for the study in the topic, using of conductivity measurement method.After optimizing the circuit design of the measurement and display instruments, the system can realize conductance measurements and solve the problem of data transmission, so it is more suitable for the practical needs of rotating mixing cylinder. Meanwhile, in terms of software, instruments achieve the continuous measurement and display, but also realize the temperature compensation to water content. Water through the PC software measurement data analysis, calculation, display and storage, and draw out the historical curve. In addition, the PC software can complete measurement data storage, analysis, calculation and display, and draw the history curve of water changes.To solve the traditional measurement lag problem, this project sets the water measurement points inside the mixing cylinder, to solve the measurement lag problem from the source. However, due to changing material thickness inside mixing cylinder, it must to be resolved that the material thickness impact of the measured water value inside mixing cylinder. For optimal design of sensor model, software simulation and analysis is based on the theory of electric field, ultimately selecting the vertical arrangement of the electrode sensor model. After confirming the best parameters of the vertical sensor model, we can greatly reduce the material thickness impact on the measurements to improve the measurement accuracy.Because of taking electric conductivity method as the measurement principle, the temperature has a greater impact on the conducticity measurement; therefore temperature compensation to the system is very necessary. In this paper, the mathematical model for regression analysis was established. And the algorithm of stepwise regression was use to analyze experimental results, to confirm the fitting formula of the temperature and conductance, in order to achieve the compensation to the water content.The performance tests for the new measurement model of the system are completed, including taking a rigorous data calibration through the actual water measurement experiment, and repeated precision tests. The instrument stability is very Good, after the error test, the measured accuracy of instrument is 2.8%, so the moisture meter's measurement stability and accuracy are suited to the requirements of the actual industrial field.
