Since ancient times,humans have been using wood to construct.Until now,wooden houses are getting more and more popular among the designers because of its beauty and environmentally friendly features.Ministry of Information Industry of the People's Republic of China and Housing and Urban-rural Development of the People's Republic of China jointly issued " Action Programs to Promote the Production and Application of Green Building Materials " IV,11,clearly declare wooden structure a kind of architectural form which shall be developed.In recent years,both domestic and wooden houses have a fire occurred,resulting in immeasurable casualties and economic losses.Research on fire resistance of wood is still relatively scarce in China.Using ISO834 standard fire heating curve,poplar,larch and Douglas fir beams and columns of different sizes(a total of 48)are researched in the four-side burning experiment,in which 18 specimens are arranged thermocouples to measure the temperature distribution inside the specimen.After cooling down and the removal of carbonized layer,calculate charring rates of different types of wood.Through the analysis of test data,draw internal temperature-time curve inside the timber specimens,determine the fire resistance of three kinds of wood,provide a theoretical basis for the selection of wooden materials.Meanwhile,deduce the temperature-time curve of charring line of three kinds of wood and compare with the experimental data.Summarize mechanical properties and thermal parameters about wood after high temperature and calculate temperature field of circular and rectangular cross-section of poplar specimens using finite element analysis software ABAQUS,and analyze differences between test curves and simulated curves.Finally,take a wooden structure housing in Beijing Miyun Water Town in for example,finish a heat-structure coupling calculation of wooden frame and wood components,get temperature field and deformation of poplar frame and components,analyze the fire resistance performance of wooden houses.
