Bearing plays an important role in the development of equipment manufacturing industry in our country, bearing ring as a part of the bearing, its quality is directly related to the quality of the bearing. Grinding burn is bearing ring surface defects produced in the process of grinding, it can reduce the fatigue strength of the bearing ring, wear resistance and corrosion resistance, serious when still can appear crack, greatly reduce the service life of bearing. Grinding burn detection is an important means of found that the surface defects. Traditional grinding burn test due to the damage detection, such as pickling process, should not be tested for production of bearing ring one by one, and therefore unable to guarantee the quality of products. The grinding burn detection method based on Barkhausen effect, is a nondestructive testing method, all products can be achieve rapid and accurate quantitative detection, avoid the unqualified products, thus has great application prospect.This paper reviews the research status of Barkhausen effect in non-destructive testing, to study the mechanism of grinding burn and several common way to detect the grinding burns, the principle of Barkhausen effect is analyzed, the characteristics of MBN signal and the extraction of characteristic value-MP method, this paper expounds the principle of grinding burn detection based on Barkhausen effect. Combination of materials science and mechanics to study the microscopic structure of the influence of the change of hardness, stress, and then discusses the bearing ring grinding burn and the hardness and the relationship between the stresses. Studies show that with the increase of grinding burn degree, the surface compressive stress to tensile stress and gradually reduce and increase gradually, gradually reduce hardness. Based on the relationship of MBN signal and stress and hardness, MP value was established based on regression analysis, the mathematical model of relationship between stress and hardness. Discusses the method of making the standard sample piece; According to the pickling process to determine the standard sample piece of grinding burn level; MP values and the grinding degree burns fitting equation; The pickling method, combined with the surface hardness and stress, bearing ring grinding burn evaluation method is given. Combined with practical measurement, the qualified limit is provided for bearing ring grinding burn, make evaluation of grinding burns.
