At present, the digital video system has begun to get deployment and application in modern ships. The degree of informationization to improve ship management and operational efficiency is of great significance. In the digital video system, the video bit rate, the greater the transmission of video information, the more, the better the quality of the video image, the corresponding hardware cost transmission bandwidth requirement is higher also. However, due to the limited transmission bandwidth and hardware equipment on board ships, need to ensure the quality of the video as far as possible under the premise of reducing rate. So must be conducted for the transmission of real-time video data quality assessment, to adjust the stream,In the digital video quality assessment methods, on the basis of in-depth analysis, designed and implemented video quality measurement scheme of digital video system of the ship. First of all, the analysis of transmission system and video quality evaluation system of digital video system. According to the characteristics of digital video, video transmission delay, image quality, system stability, there are three kinds of key indicators such as practical measurement method is put forward. Secondly, the design of ship digital video technology evaluation criteria and strategies, and analyzes the factors influencing the quality of digital video, the current academic research in the field of digital video quality test methods for system analysis, is given for ship digital video quality test evaluation standard, design and implement the full reference of video quality evaluation system. Because of the special hardware in ships and transmission bandwidth limitations, all reference video assessment algorithm while the assessment result more accurate, but the overhead costs too much. Therefore, also puts forward a reference objective video quality assessment algorithms. Mainly using rate and video coding frame peaksignal-to-noise ratio(PSNR) value of the positive correlation between the dependencies, experience linear prediction model is established according to the experimental data, to achieve through the video frame rate to estimate the transmission of PSNR. Finally, in the digital video quality test prototype system, video quality indicators for the actual test, the results show that the design of video quality performance testing scheme is feasible and has certain practicality.
