Short-wave antenna is the focus in researches of communication antenna on ship. Compare to the traditional short-wave antenna which has bigger size, monopole has the advantages of lightweight, good matching performance and high gain, which makes it the priority in the research of short-wave antenna. The number of electric equipment and communication antenna is increasing along with the development of surface ship. It’s harder to guarantee the high performance of every single equipment and lower the EMI among each other since the limited room of physical space and electromagnetic environment. Research on the layout of monopole is very necessary.To start this thesis, the radiation characteristic and the main parameters of the performance of monopole is deduced. The result that the superstructure will affect the omni-directional gain is produced by simulations. Furthermore, the simulation analysis on near filed of monopole is done and the distribution regularities are obtained. In order to solve the isolation problem of multi-antennas, simulations lead to the solution of monopoles whose length is ten meters. Finally, simulation on electromagnetic environment in cabin is done through modeling the physical structure of cabin. The number of monopoles, the distance between monopole and cabin, the transmitting power of monopole are obtained by restrictive conditions of the limit sensitive value deck in GJB151 A. The effect to the field density in cabin caused by monopole provides the theoretical basis for reasonable layout of monopole on surface ship.
