Abstract/Summary:
Electricity generation depended on coal powder that has low calorific value accounts for a large proportion in China, but that kind of coal powder often could not be entirely burned, so there have been various burners to adapt to it. Slotted bluff body burner developed by Huazhong University of Science and technology is the outstanding representative among them. Requires that electricity generation projects depended on coal of low calorific value should take low calorific coal as fuel, such as coal gangue, coal slime, middling,etc. That has put forward higher demand on low calorific coal powder. This paper comes up some modification base on slotted bluff body burner to improve its stable combustibility.This paper analyses the theoretical equations of slotted bluff body burner, finds several factors that can affect its stable combustibility, then improves the burner’s structure and carries on theory analysis on the modified model.The contrast between theoretical analysis results of slotted bluff body before and after improved indicates that the stable combustibility could be improved.This paper performs numerical simulations for each model, contrasts the blowoff limit of each model’s and slotted bluff body before improved.Then analyses the models’ thermal fields and obtains the best modification, at the same time, contrasts it with theoretical analysis outcome, verifies the scheme’s reasonability with both theoretical demonstration and simulation analysis.
