Organic Rankine Cycle(ORC) power generation technology is considered as the most effective way to utilize low-temperature heat source. It is widely used in solar thermal, geothermal, industrial waste heat, and other fields. Organic working medium turbine is the core parts of the ORC system, which has important influence on system power and efficiency. For small power system, the centripetal turbine appears to be effective.This article focus on the design research of the organic working medium centripetal turbine used in ORC power generation system. On the basis of optimized design system parameters, choose R123 as working medium to develop the effective centripetal turbine which power is 200 kilowatts. The research content mainly includes the aerodynamic design and CFD numerical simulation of the centripetal turbine flow passage. The structure design and proofread calculation is studied based on the result of the numerical simulation. The main research content is as follows:An one dimensional aerodynamic design and optimization for the organic centripetal turbine is carried. Through the centripetal turbine scheme design, and compared with the solution of the axial flow turbine. It is concluded that the shaft efficiency of the centripetal scheme is above 75%, 9.37% higher than that of axial flow turbine.CFD numerical simulation is carried for the centripetal turbine flow passage. Results show that the state parameters are consistent with design values. The machine simulation results meet the requirements of aerodynamic design, which proves the accuracy of the aerodynamic design results. By analyzing the internal flow, we find that the supersonic flow in guide vane impeller wheel imports of rotor inflow separation, the rotor loss increases,which can be further optimized.The optimization of organic centripetal turbine design and CFD numerical simulation are discussed in this chapter. We focus on the steam angle of nozzle blade cascade, radial clearance, blade angel of rotor, meridian plane of rotor, blade tip clearance and splitter blades. Study of the influence of centripetal turbine performance can be use to the machine design optimization.The structure design and calculation of organic centripetal turbine is studied in this chapter by calculating the centripetal turbine rotor strength and axial thrust and choosing sealing system. Results show that materials such as titanium alloy can guarantee the rotor have enough safety factor; Tooth shape and mechanical joint sealing solution satisfy the requirement the sealing requirements of organic medium centripetal turbine.
