Mobile object is flexible and difficult to be under control, it is an important part of manufacturing workshop and tracking the position of mobile object is an important prerequisite for transparency in the management of the workshop. Mobile object tracking and positioning system based on positioning technology, GPS positioning technology is more suitable for the open environment or less interference situations, it is difficult to adapt to the obstacles, noisy and electromagnetic interference environment of the manufacturing workshop. The wireless sensor network become the first choice to positioning for its low cost, low energy consumption, strong anti-interference, mobile object tracking system can achieve through install some hardware infrastructure combined with the positioning algorithm.Firstly, the overall technical framework of the moving object tracking and positioning system is designed in detail, and then introduce several application of the system in workshop. The information model of the mobile object is put forward and the process of modeling are described in detail, and then introduce the hardware and software infrastructure and overall framework of the system.Wireless sensor network positioning algorithm is the most important research point to ensure the accuracy of the tracking and positioning system. Based on the RSSI location algorithm, taking into the defects of the algorithm combined with the noise, multipath reflection and other complex factors of the actual workshop, and introduce neural network technology, filtering and the method of partition, two improved RSSI positioning algorithm are proposed at last. Through simulation experiments, these methods can improve the accuracy and stability of the algorithm.Finally, according to the application requirement of mobile object tracking system, a prototype system is designed and developed for manufacturing workshop of mobile ob-ject tracking and positioning, the function and application process of the staff supervision, product tracking, material vehicle scheduling, tool monitoring and digital quality detection are described in detail.
