UHV transmission line will gradually become the frame of future grid, the safe and stable operation of the power grid is extremely important. The core issue of UHV anti-icing investment decision is to determine the optimal combination of anti-icing design. To establish combinatorial optimization model about the anti-icing methods for UHV transmission lines can solve the problem, improve the efficiency of anti-ice, make reasonable allocation of manpower and funds. But the decision of anti-icing methods for UHV transmission lines is lack of scientific quantitative analysis methods. So the research of combinatorial optimization model of the anti-icing methods for UHV transmission lines is very important. So the research of combinatorial optimization model about the anti-icing methods for UHV transmission lines is of great significance.Based on the icing growth model of Hunan UHV transmission line and anti-icing technology research, the paper establishes the combinatorial optimization model of anti-icing methods for UHV transmission lines. And combined with the actual line, the paper verifies the study result. The main contents are as follows:Firstly, this paper adopts the integral model to revise the extent value of icing under different meteorological conditions, puts forward the calculation formula of ice extent by different combination of anti icing method of value, puts forward the calculation formula of the extent value of icing under using different combinatorial anti-icing methods.Secondly, according to the anti ice, melting ice, deicing and other anti-icing methods the paper establishes a multi-objective decision optimization model of combinatorial anti-icing methods for UHV transmission lines. The objective function of this model is to minimize the cost of investment, minimize the lose of ice disaster, minimize the risk of ice disaster. The constraint conditions are to consider the extent of ice, the importance of network topology and the power point of melting ice.Thirdly, the paper converts three objective function values with mutual difference and restriction into dimensionless utility value by using utility value, calculates the weight of each target under the constraint conditions by using analytic hierarchy process, converts the multi-objective functions into a single objective function. The optimal solution of the objective function for the model can be determined. Then the optimal combination plan of anti-icing methods that minimize the objective function can be defined.Finally, this paper uses the proposed model to calculate and analyze the actual project and verifies the reasonableness of the model. The paper provides a theoretical basis for the selection of the anti- icing program about UHV.
