With the high-speed railway has become the main development direction of railway transport, the associated traction operation simulation system began to appear. The calculations it involves, such as traction calculation and braking calculation, not only directly affect the optimal design of the train, but also affect the operational capability and safety of the railway, which has an important significance for the design and operation departments. This paper researches such aspects as high-speed train marshalling conditions, characteristics of the design, operation strategies and operational processes in-depth, and its main contents include the following six parts: high-speed railway running simulation mechanics, high-speed railway running simulation model and algorithm design, implementation of high-speed railway running simulation, design and implementation of high-speed railway virtual reality, and system testing.Based on the full investigation of overseas and domestic research status of train traction running simulation, according to the basic theory of train traction calculation, this paper introduces and analyses the train's force condition during running process, mainly discusses the calculation method of traction, braking force and running resistance, and designs their calculation models. The paper also builds a running simulation algorithm on the basis of the Minimum Running Time Strategy. Under the.NET platform, using C# programming language, the calculated results are output as curves. On the same time, combined with Direct3D virtual reality, C++ programming language is used to implement the display of train running process. Finally, the CRH380A vehicle data as well as the existing line data of Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway are used as experimental input data, and the simulation results are compared with the results provided by Academy of Railway Sciences which is simulated based on CRH3-350 Beijing-Shanghai line. The comparison results verified the reliability of the simulation results and the accuracy of virtual reality, and proved that the desired design purposes are achieved.The traction characteristics, braking characteristics model and algorithm designed in this paper are verified through research results with accuracy. Combined with the virtual reality simulation results, the high-speed railway traction running simulation can provide the basis for the designers and researchers to optimize the high-speed train design.
