Comparing with common concrete, RPC(reactive power concrete) is new material in recent years who possesses the excellent tensile and compressive properties, whose deformations of shrinkage and creep are far less than the common concrete. The advantages are fully revealed only under the condition of steam curing, so the construction method is generally segmental pre-production in factory and site splice by pre-stressing tendon in projects. Based on the existing common connection method, this paper presents the connection method combination of high-strength bolt and key-tooth which means one side of the segment made into the shape of key tooth, the connection method has the following advantages: The theory and the engineering practice of high-strength bolt has been mature; The plate and the pretension caused by the bolt greatly improve the connection bearing capacity and stiffness; The construction is simple, convenient and rapid. The connection method combines the bolt connection of the steel structure and the key-tooth shape of segment. This passage focus on the effect of joint, researching the flexural performance of the beam using the connection method. The main research contents and results are as follows:(1) Determine the size of joint tooth block and make the design on the basis of the horizontal angle of bracket joint, the ratio of joint tooth block's depth and height, and the ratio of joint tooth block's height and beam's height, of tooth block joints, and select the model of bolt and the spacing dimension of bolt group according to standardized requirements, thus proposing the size of test beams at last.(2) The bending experimental study on precast segmental RPC with the connection of joint tooth block and bolts in this article include three parts, respectively such as: material testing; slippage coefficient test of bolt connection, certain slippage coefficient of high-strength bolts for steel structures; through two groups test beams that there are variations in percentage of reinforcement and differences for lapped steel plate are conducted, research the bending resistance, deformation characteristics and failure pattern of joint beams.(3) Through the existing bending cracking load and ultimate bending capacity calculation formula of RPC simply-supported beam, calculating formulas were confirmed by the data of the experiment, and the modes of test beams were simulated and analyzed by ANSYS finite element analysis program. The three calculations were comparatively analyzed to show that the calculation agrees well with the results of field test and finite element method.(4) By using ANSYS finite element analysis program, test beam were simulated and analyzed. By comparing the test value and the result of finite element analysis, the rationality is verified, thus using ANSYS finite element analysis program for parameter analysis to study various parameters including the impact of creep of different thickness of RPC beams on the pretension of bolts, the impact of the number of structural reinforcement which were distributed along the height of the beam and set up the junction of steel plates and RPC segments and tensile reinforcement on ultimate bending capacity of joint beams.
