The silicon-based solar cell is the most universal solar cell in the market at present, but it also has some disadvantages such as high cost and environment polluted. The dye-sensitized solar cell(DSSC) is a kind of new type photo electrochemical cell with the characteristics of low cost, simple manufacturing process, environmental protected and being able to be produced in large size. With the mature development of the study on DSSC, the researchers have already applied the DSSC to daily production and living, which means the study of the stability of DSSC is quite important.In this paper, the structure and working principle of DSSC is analyzed, and the effect of each structural unit in the process of manufacturing on the stability of DSSC is introduced. What's more, several key parameters, including Isc, Voc, FF and ?, which influence the stability of DSSC, is obtained. Through some experiments, several aspects, as follows, which affect the stability of DSSC is studied. Firstly, the packaging plays an important role in affecting the stability of DSSC. In the experiment we tried three packaging methods including sarin film, UV and double packaging curing epoxy resin encapsulation. With comparing the firmness of the devices produced by three packaging methods after being placed in the natural environment for six months, it is found that the device in double encapsulation performs better in the stability. The variation trend of the battery with an heating of 80? is also analyzed. Secondly, the effect of dye on the stability of DSSC is discussed. With comparison of experiments we selected dye N3. In order to improve the thermal stability of the dye N3, we designed and synthesized a new dye molecules A22, which has higher stability. Thirdly, by respectively testing the DSSC in the light bath of indoor temperature and high temperature and analyzing the parameters of Isc, Voc, FF and ?, how other factors influence the stability of DSSC are discussed. The comparative experiment showed that it is very important to promote the thermal stability of DSSC. At last, the device based on the dye of A22 and N3 were experimentally tested respectively in the light bath of indoor temperature and high temperature. The results showed that dye A22 has comparably excellent characteristics with conventional dye N3 at high temperature, which also indicated that to a certain extent the design promote the thermal stability of DSSC.The results of this paper not only provided scientific data which affected the stability of DSSC, but also supplied useful reference in improving the performance of battery.
