With the rapid development of automobile industry,the requirements for the performance of the selected interior and exterior parts materials are also improved.With long glass fiber reinforced polypropylene(LGFPP) as representative of the new position in the automotive lightweight composite materials in the pivotal study, therefore, we must take advantage of current technology and techniques, fiber glass and other new composite materials better applied to other automotive interior and exterior member.This paper studies LGFPP used in auto parts, taking into account the warping effect glass content of plastic products, we propose a method to optimize multi-warping influence factors. LGFPP by preparing a standard sample to observe the internal distribution of glass products and the impact on the mechanical properties of the test, the use of the finite element model using Moldflow LGFPP of virtual simulation, analysis by flow and filling to study polymer melt in the mold cavity the flow, to ensure the effective injection molding products, process parameters for plastic molding process optimization to improve the warpage problem may exist in the actual production, and the experimental study of orthogonal glass content and process parameters on warpage degree of influence to achieve warp is optimized to improve the quality of injection molded products.The main aspects of the study are as follows:(1) Study of long glass fiber reinforced polypropylene composite material, glass fiber polypropylene to improve its mechanical properties, mechanical testing by the mechanical test results from different glass content LGFPP were compared with ordinary PP, research fiberglass content on trends LGFPP tensile properties,flexural properties and performance.(2) Based on injection molding analysis software Moldflow to points quickly and accurately analyze the shape of the plastic parts, according to material properties,size and structure of the injection molding process parameters articles for gate location optimization, evaluation gating system and cooling system design is reasonable, the whole forming process simulation and warpage prediction, thereby improving the injection molding products quality and reduce mold development costs.Packing, cooling and warpage analysis of ordinary PP and glass fiber content of different products by comparing LGFPP padding protection, to study the impact of long-glass warpage and amount of LGFPP flow and filling process.(3) Based on orthogonal experiment, using three different glass content(10%,20%, 30%) of material to study the impact of glass content and the injection molding process parameters on warpage, design factor variables determined factor degree of influence on the warpage, get the best combination of parameters, providing technology benchmark for single-factor test.Based on the best combination of parameters for glass content, mold temperature, melt temperature, dwell time, packing pressure and cooling time for single-factor test, study each factor on LGFPP warpage influence trends.Study on the impact factors affect LGFPP products buckling deformation trend, achieve the goal of the buckling optimization.(4) Separately on the basis of the bumper low-speed collision simulation for aluminum bumper and LGFPP bumper crash simulation analysis, through the data collision at both collision performance comparison. LGFPP bumper compared with aluminum bumper, the maximum deformation is opposite bigger, other collision performance is relatively close to, but a 25.8% drop in quality, light effect is very obvious.
