The energy problem is one of the most important issues in the world today. The energy consumption of HVAC systems should be reduced on the basis of theory and practice, by using the energy-saving equipments and enhancing the coefficient of performance. In this paper, the application of heat source tower heat pump for domestic air conditioning was studied. The thermal model of the system was established; and the thermodynamic cycle of the system was then was specifically calculated. Finally, the overall function performance of heat source tower heat pump was evaluated. The current development of heat pump technology was firstly introduced in this paper, both in china and the abroad. On the other hand, the comparisons between heat pump technology and other cooling and heating equipments were discussed and analyzed. Then, the concept of household heat source tower heat pump was put forward. The structures, special function performance, operation mod es of heat source tower heat pump were introduced briefly. The household heat source tower heat pump is based on the closed heat source tower heat pump, which are mainly used for large-sized apartments. The system supplies domestic heating, refrigeration for residents with a hot water storage tank. In winter, the hot water storage tank can store heat for defrosting of the system. The household heat source tower heat pump system was used in a Changsha residential building. The research on the operating mod es of the system was carried on, taking the climate characteristics of Changsha into account. The thermodynamic analysis is based on the four basic equations---state equations, heat equation, saturated liquid density equation, saturated vapor pressure equa tion. The mathematical models of the main parts of system were established, including compressor, evaporator, condenser, heat storage water tank and throttle valve. The thermodynamic cycle analysis of the system was based on the tested parameters. Finally, the coefficients of performance in winter and summer were both calculated and regarded as the main index for performance evaluation. |
