With the wide use of new lightweight and high strength materials, improvement of structure analysis and construction technology, structural form is developed into large span, soft system and low damping. The vertical natural frequency of floor i s becoming more and more low, quality and damping are getting smaller. This leads to the increase of floor vibration response due to human activities. When the floor vibration reach a certain extent, it will make users feel upset and discomfort, even cause panic, and reduce the serviceability of the building. The development of social economy and people's living standard make people's requirement of the quality of life become more and more high. Accordingly the requirements of the floor vibration comfort become more and more high. If only an existing structure doesn't meet the comfort requirement, repairing technology will be difficult and expensive. Therefore, floor vibration must be considered carefully beside strength and deformation requirements in designing a floor.With the development of the construction of industrialization, the developed countries in the world regard the industrialized precast of construction parts and assembly construction as a direction of the development of the construction in dustry. In recent years, prefabricated steel developed vigorously because it meets the national development strategy of green building and industrialization. As a new type of floor, the assembly prefabricated integrated floor with many advantages, such as modular design, highly standardized, highly integration, fast construction and low cost,has very good application prospect. Due to the use of lightweight high strength materials and new construction technology, integrity and stiffness of the floor decrease, and possibility of comfort problems increase. Therefore, it 's very necessary to carry out the research work on the new floor comfort.This paper takes the Xiao Tiancheng building as engineering background, and the floor vibration comfort due to human activity of the new type assembly prefabricated integrated floor has done. The main contents are as follows:(1) The research history and status of the floor vibration comfort at home and abroad are introduced, and the problem existing is pointed out. The theory of floor vibration comfort due to human activity is introduced in three aspects: pedestrian force, theory of computation and evaluation standard, which laid the theoretical foundation of the analysis for the new type assembly prefabricated integrated floor.(2) Field floor vibration test of the atrium of Xiao Tiancheng building has finished, and it obtain the dynamic characteristics of the floor and vertical vibration response under pedestrian loads, then analyse the influence law of the load type, load frequency, route and population size on the floor vertical vibration.(3) With the help of soft SAP 2000, analogue calculation of the atrium floor is done using two different loading ways which is walking path method and fixed point excitation method, then compare the calculation value with experimental value. Further the influence of load frequency and motherboard connectors on the floor vertical vibration is studied.(4) Combining Chinese code JGJ3-2010 with American steel design guide series 11, evaluation standard for this paper is determined and comfort evaluation for the floor of the atrium of Xiao Tiancheng building is done.
