In recent years, energy crisis, greenhouse effect and air pollution problems are intensifying. To cope with increasingly severe climate change, accelerating the adjustment of energy structure has become a general consensus. The clean, renewable energy such as wind power has been widespread concern because of no consumption of fossil fuels, environmental friendly clean without pollution. With large-scale wind power integration, uncertainties and anti-peaking characteristics of wind power output influence the operation of the power system. In this paper, on the basis of previous works, two aspects of uncertainty and anti-peak regulation characteristics of wind power output were proposed. Then the economic dispatch of power systems including wind farms were discussed, in which new thoughts of modeling and solving methods were put forward to provide effective support for the future power grid dispatching work.Aiming at the uncertainty of wind power output and the prevalence of multiple uncertain factors in the system, the uncertain programming theory is applied to the research of dynamic economic dispatch problem in power system containing wind farm. In the research, the diversity of forms of uncertain variables are considered. Fuzzy variables and random variables are introduced to represent respectively the wind power prediction error and load forecasting error. A hybrid constrained economic dispatch model is established containing both random variables and fuzzy variables together with the real meaning. A hybrid simulation genetic algorithm combination of fuzzy simulation and stochastic simulation are employed to solve the model. Then with stochastic confidence level and fuzzy confidence, risk and cost are controlled. Considering emissions of CO2 and SO2, a multi-objective mixed chance constrained optimization scheduling model is built. The last example analysis proves feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed model.For the anti-peak characteristics of wind power output, the pumped storage power station is introduced to this paper. Utilizing the energy storage capability of the pumped storage plant, the power output of the wind farm during the peak load period is transferred to the pumped storage plant to retain water, which can be used for peak load shaving. The example analysis of the contrast between results of identified modeling and uncertain optimization modeling verify the proposed modeling advantage. Then the different effects of the presence or absence of pumped storage power station shows that the wind storage combined dispatching peak has the advantages in the aspects of economy and reliability and different capacity of pumped storage power plant influence optimization results.Finally, through analysis and summary of existing researches, the direction of future research and development trends are pointed out. The further researches on the dynamic economic dispatch with wind power are proposed.
