During the two sessions, our country issued policy directly about supporting the development and promotion of new energy vehicles for the strategy of sustainable development. The research of battery management system is the key to the development of electric vehicles. Reasonable design of battery management system can effectively improve the efficiency of battery, extend the service life of the battery and keep driving safety.This dissertation analyzes the present situation of electric vehicle battery management system and automatic test system. Analysis working principle of the lithium iron phosphate batteries(LIPB) aiming at its characteristics. Based on large number of the battery SOC estimation method and influence factors, select the support vector regression(SVR) estimation method. Build simulation model of evaluation on the Platform of MATLAB. Prove the feasibility and superiority of this method by contrast with traditional methods.Then this dissertation designs the hardware and software of electric vehicle battery management system. The main hardware circuit and software flow chart are given. ARM STM32F103RBT6 is adopted as controller. The hardware designs include temperature and voltage, current sampling circuit design, circuit, fault detection. The software designs are written in KEIL development environment.Finally this dissertation designs the battery management system and automatic measuring system under the LabVIEW2013. Debug the system and collect data.Compare with data of battery management system. The experimental results show that, the design of battery management system and automatic test system can realize acquisition function of the voltage, current, temperature signal. And be able to accurately estimate the lithium iron phosphate battery SOC values.
