In recent decades, the reasons which have led to the traffic congestion become worse are the rapid development of the national economy and the urbanization process, and the rapid growth of the human and vehicles. For complex traffic network,multi-junction coordinate control plays a crucial role in relieving the traffic congestion. In this paper, we use the traffic light control method which is one of the intelligent control method, to control the traffic light, thus can relieve the traffic congestion.City green wave band takes on the mainly traffic evacuation. However, the smooth of the green wave band at the sacrifice of the branch road expense. Hence, in this work, we design a coordinate control method which is aimed at the main road and the branch road. The vehicle queue length as the control of evaluation and the relationship between traffic intersections have been taken into account for signal distribution in this method. In addition, we have demonstrated the effectiveness of the method via the case results. We study the evacuation of traffic congestion in urban areas through Petri net modeling, the road traffic flow as the main coordination factor have been mainly considered for urban sudden traffic congestion. Moreover, we designed a new traffic control method which can timing traffic light dynamically through the coordination control of the “adjacent” junctions. Finally, we demonstrate that this method can timing the traffic light more flexible and improve the traffic efficiently. In short, an in-depth study for urban traffic signal control is carried out by sufficiently synthesized traffic control. The real-time control is improved and traffic congestion is evacuated.
