Generally speaking, single-phase reclosing operation would be taken into use in order to improve system reliability and stability when the line single-phase ground fault occurs on high vlltage double circuit transmission line in China. And the success of single-phase reclosing operation is up to extinguish of secondary arc largely. There are two crucial parameters of secondary arc, secondary arc current and recovery voltage that need to be analysed and to be under control in a resonable way for success rate of single-phase reclosing operation.Firstly, this essay uses the lumped parameter method and the distribution parameter method to analysis the characteristic of secondary arc and recovery voltage that main consists including capacitive and inductive component. Secondary arc current capacitive component is directly proportional to line length, as well as increasing with line capacitive coupling. Secondary arc current inductive component is closely related to the line fault point, on both ends of line equal value and in the opposite direction. The capacitive component of recovery voltage is only related to the line voltage and capacitance, the length of the line and the fault point has no effect on it, inductive component is closely related to circuit parameter and fault points. The influence of transmission line parameters on secondary arc will be discussed in this essay, and moreover, the impacts of earth resistivity, fault phase, fault point and line length on single tranmission line and double circuit line are stydied respectively via the ATP electromagnetic transient simulation software.Described separately inhibiting principle of shunt reactor neutral with small reactance and high speed grounding switches to secondary arc, and double circuit line are stydied via the ATP electromagnetic transient simulation software, proposed to the arcing beneficial neutral small reactance value range and high speed grounding switches of the optimal configuration.The results show that the two measures can quickly and effectively control the secondary arc current limit under 10A, to speed up arcing, greatly improved the success rate of single-phase automatic reclosing.
