This paper is based on child-subject of national 973 project taken by my tutor, according to the clamp coupling method which has been put forward by my tutor to strengthen hollow slab bridge, The mechanical behavior of key structure has been carried out exploratory research, main research works and results are listed below.? The characteristics of hinge joint disease of hollow slab bridge is analyzed, clamp coupling method is put forward to strengthen hollow slab bridge, the key structures of hollow slab bridge strengthened by clamp coupling method and simulation method in finite element analysis have been explored.? According to analysis data of finite element modeling, force transferring path of strengthening hollow slab bridge by clamp coupling method has been obtained; According actual structural mechanical characteristics of hollow slab bridge, the plane mechanical model of strengthening hollow slab bridge by clamp coupling method has been build based on basic assumption of hinged plate method; According to equilibrium condition of structural mechanics, formula of calculating axial force of tension screw has been deduced.? The influence of the tension screw's pretightening force on hollow slab bridge in tolerance range has been studied, find out that the tension screw's pretightening force in tolerance range has small influence on hollow slab bridge.? Study two kinds of end connection structure which connect top steel plate and bottom beam of boundary and make them a system respectively using tension screw and steel plate, analyze mechanical characteristics of two kinds of end connection structure, the results show that end connection structure using steel plate is superior to tension screw.
